La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St. Paul-Woodbury

I stayed here for over 2 weeks with my family and would stay here again. Affordable and great value. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff were friendly. The king suite was spacious and included a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was especially spacious! The hotel is super dog friendly. There is a small gym and indoor pool plus jacuzzi, which was nice for our long-term stay.

My dog and I travelled very far to see a pet oncologist. We got to la Quinta very late at night. The reservation had accidentally been booked for the wrong night through hotels.com (our fault not the hotels). At first, the woman who helped me seriously lacked customer service skills. She continuously tried to tell me it was Expedia, couldn’t take my payment even though I had plenty of money, and was just not kind. She wasn’t mean, but after such a long journey and a very sick dog, she showed zero effort or concern for trying to make the situation better. Then an incredibly great hotel employee took over for her - attempted to fix the matter with hotels.com directly with me and my family member who was not in state over the phone as their systems weren’t taking my cards etc. So it was hard but that gentleman deserves a major shout out - he made the process so much easier just by being personable and kind and working through the steps and making the effort to help. I wish I could remember his name but it started with D! We just wanted to thank him for truly making a difference for our experience

Staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean,reasonable and nicely decorated for the holidays. Lesly the manager is awesome to work with, she decorated the meeting room very nicely for our event. She did an outstanding job accommodating us.Would definitely come back and refer hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel. The process of checking in was quick and efficient. The room was clean. The pool area was busy but still enjoyable for my daughter. The breakfast area was clean and had some good options available. Overall an excellent value for the price.

We had a really great stay. The room and property was clean and neat. Great pillows (often times hotel pillows are terrible!) and very nice staff. I LOVE they allow dogs of all sizes. There is no potty area but ample amount of space for breaks. I always give out 4 stars because everyone has room to improve.

Overall, I was happy with our stay. The other reviews mentioning the kids pool, TVs, and toilets not working was not our experience; leading me to believe they do take feedback and act on it. Our room was clean and everything was in working order. Strangely, our curtains were also torn? (As mentioned by another reviewer) Slightly off putting but not a deal breaker for us. Would stay again!

Stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in St. Paul–Woodbury and it was… an experience. Starting with the good: the pool and hot tub were actually warm — not the usual “jump in and question your life choices” temperature. The kids loved it. The hotel was quiet, felt safe, and the shower had enough hot water to melt skin (in a good way). Now the cons. The bathroom grout looked like it had seen some things. Like… Vietnam-level flashbacks things. And finding a random "body hair" on a “clean” washcloth? Bold move, housekeeping. Very bold. The beds were advertised as queens but felt more like “wishful-thinking fulls.” Breakfast was fine — not great, not awful — just the hotel equivalent of a participation trophy. Overall, decent stay, but the bathroom needs therapy and the beds need a reality check.

Clean and comfortable for a good nights rest. We had 4 adults and a 13yr old so we needed 3 beds and their double queen with a sleeper sofa was perfect. One of the more comfortable sleeper sofas too. The price was right as well. We can all honestly say the free breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had.
